We all have friends who do it. They like a girl, then end things quickly, then try to start it up again, only to remember what was annoying about them in the first place. Then, when you call them the next weekend to meet up for an awesome drink special at a bar no one has ever heard of, they are busy, hanging out with that girl again.
On/Off relationships follow one of two possible trajectories, the first of course being the tragic crash and burn. Your buddy is bummed, so you have to take him out, and make sure all attention is on him. But if the relationship begins to be more "On" than "Off" and seems to have a one-way ticket to commitment-town, you may have an I Love You Party coming sooner than you know it!
